Death to Clones: I think I'm being bankrupt...... →
deathtoclones: Is it bad that I really just want to go straight home from work and eat 4,000 won jjambbong or 1,000 won ramen for dinner rather than go out with my friend who is visiting from Japan and leaving tomorrow and wants to eat eel (seriously?) so I’ll end up paying 10,000 to 15,000 won? Everytime I go… I feel the same way.  I’ve taken to inviting people to my place and I...

Christmas weekend - more than just a skype call
A real post.  I’ll post about the end of the work drama, then after the break put in my X-mas festivities.  Also, I’m setting some pictures up in the queue.  I always like to go back and look at my photos well after I’ve taken them; I find I like more of them than I did at the time.   After my internship on Friday, I had dinner with London, from the story about drama in the...

I once mated a bull dog with a shitzu. I called it a bullshit. Any unusual breeding? No, mostly doggy style.

Christmas Part 2
My other nephew lost a tooth about 15 minutes before I called last night.  A front tooth.  He lost his other front tooth at Thanksgiving, and it hasn’t grown back yet.  All he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth. Cute kids are cute.

Christmas
Merry Christmas, friends.  Happy Holidays if you celebrate a different holiday this time of year, and just general pleasantness to you if you so choose to celebrate nothing. Skyped with my family, called my sisters and grandmother.  Sad not to be home.  My one nephew, who is five, is difficult to understand on the phone.  I was asking him about Christmas, and all I heard was guitar and pop corn....

Atmosphere
http://www.nyspef.org/healthandsafety/files/temp_factsheet.pdf I think I’m going to leave school right about now because 1. I’m out of shit to do and 2. It’s making me feel miserable to sit here in the heat.  Above my desk it’s in the 30s C and below the desk it’s in the single digits C.  Or feels that way.  And the hot air, blowing directly on me.  And the dryness....

Different Cultures....or drama queen?
So we’re almost finished with the Beta version of the iPhone app I’m working on, and we hit this snag the other night, then last night again.  Me and the Korean graphic designer (we’ll call him London) were arguing over the title of a page on the app.  The page’s functions are saving and sharing, so I said we should title it Save & Share.  Straightforward, to the point,...

On Setbacks...
Another interview question was discussing how I bounced back from a setback.  This, for me, was probably the most difficult question. I hope this doesn’t come off as egotistical.  It’s boasting a little bit, but more about outlining my approach to life.  I know I’m fortunate—fortunate to have a stable family, to have grown up during the 90s, and to have gone to the best...

Thunderbird Interview Tomorrow
Man, are they quick.  Just over a week since I submitted my app, and 2 days after I submitted my transcripts.  I’m pretty sure I’ll have to explain my C+ in Econ my first quarter at OSU (doesn’t it being my first quarter at OSU explain it?  I was such a lazy bum w/o studying skills or time management skills then).   Anyways, on some B-school forum I read some good advice:...

Kim Jong Il is dead
and I’m showing Dumb and Dumber this week.  They love it.   Part of my duty is to show relevant cultural things they may not dig up on their own.  I showed Happy Gilmore at the end of the 1st Semester, and now Dumb & Dumber.  I almost showed Tommy Boy.  They probably never would’ve stumbled on these classics themselves. Huzzah 90s movies.

Skype With grandpa
The 91 year old I posted about last week.  He’s as ornery as ever.  He advised me that it’s about time I should be settling down and getting married.  I told him I needed to find a stable job before I thought about doing that.  My mother conveniently reminded him that my dad (his son) wasn’t born until he was 30 (I’m only 24 now).  My dad has always joked (maybe a joke?)...

Buses
Riding back from Chungju and have to know why the buses are heated to 100 degrees. And why all the Koreans are unphased and don’t do anything about it. It’s miserable. Pet peeve in this country: inability to regulate temperatures of closed spaces.
