Yeah, Korean has two sets of numbers! One is “Sino-Korean” and you use them in specific circumstances, and then there are pure “Korean” numbers that you use for others. The Sino-Korean numbers (Chinese) include “Sam” and “Sa”
I like to think of the Sino-Korean numbers as being “identifiers” and the Korean numbers as being “quantifiers”. Not always true, but a hard and fast rule when in doubt.
